Hello! I'm Ilan Ben-Meir, a passionate English Literature Ph.D. Candidate at Brown University, exploring the fascinating world of language and digital technologies. My research dives deep into the literary potential of large language models like ChatGPT, while addressing broader questions about representation in today's Information Age.
Before Brown, I honed my skills as a political journalist at BuzzFeed News, and earned my MPhil with Distinction in Screen Media and Cultures at the University of Cambridge, where I unraveled the mysteries of our relationship with digital ghosts. Graduating summa cum laude with a BA in English from Yale University, I was also an active staff opinion columnist for the Yale Daily News and the founder of the Yale Undergraduate Poetry Press.
Drawing from my diverse experiences, I've guided high school students through English tutoring and college admissions, and even supervised exceptional undergraduates vying for prestigious scholarships at Brown. As a dedicated educator, I led the "Visionaries" seminar and had the honor of presenting my original work at the New York City Poetry Festival.
With my extensive background and unwavering commitment to helping others, I'm excited to work with you, turning your writing challenges into triumphs and unlocking new possibilities for your personal and academic success.
